Its name, meaning "Baroness", reflected the wine’s noble, yet accessible style. Over the decades, it cemented its place in South African wine culture, with a bottle reportedly opened every 15 seconds in the country. In 2023, Baronne celebrated its 50th anniversary, highlighting its enduring popularity and versatility in local cuisine through collaborations like the one with Chef Nti.
