Morvite is a long-standing sorghum-based breakfast brand launched by Tiger Brands, originally developed in the mid-20th century as an instant energy drink for mine workers. Known as “Phuza Amandla” (Drink for Power), it became a staple in South Africa’s mining communities and later expanded into nutrition programs and workplaces, thanks to clinical support in the 1990s showing its ability to provide quick energy and help reduce fatigue
